We met in college at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln (UNL) sometime in winter of 2009. Leldon had moved to Nebraska from St. Louis to be there for his brother and pursue his basketball career in college, while Janae was a visiting student at UNL in a research program from South Carolina. Leldon was on the court and saw her running on the indoor track and time stopped. (IT STOOD STILL, I TELL YOU!) He knew then that he had to get to know her.

We clicked.

We became friends and fell in love so quickly that before we knew it, the school year was over and Janae had to leave to finish her undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina. But before she left, a bond was cemented that always remained despite distance. We spoke to each other through music, sometimes through silence. We felt like we knew each other in previous lifetimes and just so happened to have crossed paths in this one.

We kept in touch through the years until divine timing brought us back together in 2020 right on the cusp of the pandemic. We found love again in each other like we never lost it. We are intentional in our approach to loving and supporting each other. We now share countless special moments with one another and can't wait to share our special day with you!
